Tamara D.

Tamara D. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple sectors. Tamara'smost recent position was as an MBOLD Project Manager at GREATER MSP Partnership, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Allina Health as a Manager Community Health Improvement from 2022 to 2023. In this role, they managed community health initiatives and collaborated on charitable contributions and sustainability committees.

From 2014 to 2022, Tamara worked at the City of Minneapolis, first as part of the Homegrown Minneapolis/Food Policy team, where they led initiatives to promote a healthier food system and raised significant funding for farmers market projects. Later, they joined the Office of the City Coordinator and contributed to producing reports on community and environmental indicators.

Before their time at the City of Minneapolis, Tamara was the Executive Director at Urban Roots (formerly Community Design Center of Minnesota) from 2007 to 2014. Tamara led the organization's efforts in sustainable agriculture, food entrepreneurship, and environmental restoration, expanding its impact, staff, and budget and empowering economically disadvantaged youth.

In 2007, Tamara held several positions simultaneously. Tamara was a Project Manager and Intern at Dovetail Partners, Inc., where they managed a website transition and wrote articles on sustainable forestry. Additionally, they served as a Research Assistant for the Diversity Coalition Project, conducting interviews and contributing to a research paper on improving relations between immigrants and non-immigrants in Minnesota communities.

Tamara's earlier experiences include a Teaching Assistant role at the State and Local Policy Program at the University of MN, an Intern Consultant position at the Portland Development Commission, and involvement in Neighborhood House's Comadres Program.
