Bob Zager

Bob Zager has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Bob most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer at Greater Portland Health since 2019. Prior to that, they were the Managing Director of Finance & H.R. at Phoenix Charter Academy Network from 2015 to 2019, where they led annual budget development, ensured financial stability, and provided financial management coaching. Bob also implemented HR and payroll systems refinements and guided professional development for staff. Bob's previous experience includes roles such as Program Manager at Mass Insight Education, Education Pioneers Graduate Fellow at NYC Department of Education, and Senior Project Manager at the Center for Social Development at Washington University. Bob has also worked as an Economist at USDA, Financial Services Coordinator at the Center for Economic Progress, Public Policy Associate at the Association for Career and Technical Education, and as a Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellow at the Congressional Hunger Center.

Bob Zager attended Webster Groves High School, where they completed their high school education. Bob then pursued a Bachelor's Degree at Washington University in St. Louis, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Political Economy. After that, they obtained a Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Illinois Chicago. Later, Bob completed their education by earning a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the Yale School of Management.
