Jon Deane

Jon Deane is the current CEO of GreatSchools.org. Prior to their current position, they served as the Director of Education for the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative from January 2016 to March 2019. Jon also held positions as Sr. Program Officer for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation from July 2015 to December 2015, Chief Information Officer for Summit Public Schools from July 2011 to July 2015, Executive Director for Everest Public High School from July 2009 to June 2011, and CFO for Summit Prep Charter High School from May 2008 to June 2009. Jon Deane began their career in education as a math teacher at Prospect Hill Academy Charter School from January 2003 to December 2005 before moving on to teach at Summit Preparatory Charter High School from August 2005 to June 2008. In addition to their work in education, Jon Deane has also served as Controller for Callan Associates from August 2000 to October 2001 and SCM Finance for Charles Schwab from January 2002 to December 2002.

Jon Deane attended Stanford University for their BA in Economics and then Campolindo for school.
