Father Evagoras Constantinides

Director Of Special Events at Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America

Father Evagoras Constantinides has a diverse work experience in various roles within the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and other organizations. Father Evagoras began their career in 2009 as a Greek Orthodox clergyman and later took on the role of Director of Special Events for the Archdiocese. Father Evagoras also served as the spokesperson for the Archdiocese and the spokesman for the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine, which was destroyed in the September 11 attacks.

In addition to their roles within the Archdiocese, Father Evagoras has held positions such as Archdiocesan Registrar, director of Ionian Village, and director of Camping Ministries, where they organized camp programs and events for youth. Father Evagoras also served as a specialty coverage priest and provided regular service coverage for various parishes.

Currently, Father Evagoras is the Dean of the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Brooklyn and the Religion Department Chair and Instructor at the A. Fantis School. Father Evagoras previously worked for the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston as a deacon, assisting with liturgical travel and fundraising initiatives.

Before starting their career in the Greek Orthodox Church, Father Evagoras worked as a communications coordinator for a non-profit organization and as a program director for a summer day camp.

Overall, Father Evagoras Constantinides has a wide range of experience in clergy, leadership, event planning, communications, and youth ministries within the Greek Orthodox Church and other institutions.

Father Evagoras Constantinides holds a Master of Divinity - MDiv degree in Orthodox Christian Studies, which they obtained from Hellenic College Holy Cross between 2006 and 2010. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts - BA degree in Communication and Media Studies from Monmouth College, graduating in 2005. Father Evagoras completed their high school education at Marmion Abbey/Academy, obtaining a high school diploma between 1997 and 2001. In addition to their degrees, Father Evagoras Constantinides has also obtained a certification as a Youth Protection Guardian from Praesidium, Inc. in 2016.
