Alex Johnson

Alex Johnson is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and educational training. Currently serving as a Teacher at Weld County School District 6 since August 2020, Alex previously held the position of Substitute Teacher within the same district. Prior experience includes working as a Special Education Trainer with the Peace Corps, where Alex focused on enhancing the skills of teachers at a special education school in Sāmoa, as well as assessing and supporting at-risk students in English literacy. Additionally, Alex has experience as a Special Education Teacher for the NYC Department of Education and has provided private tutoring across various grade levels. Alex holds multiple degrees, including an EdS in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Northern Colorado, a Master’s in Special Education from Bank Street College, and a Bachelor's in Childhood Education and Special Education from New York University.
