Jane Courtnell has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current role as the Marketing Director at Green Business Bureau, where they manage various marketing initiatives and oversees an intern team. Prior to this, Jane worked as a Freelance Content Writer and Growth Hacker for ethical brands, helping clients improve website traffic and conversion rates through effective content marketing strategies. Jane also served as a Content Writer for Process Street, where they created articles on business sustainability and conducted primary research.
Before transitioning into the marketing field, Jane gained experience in technical customer service as a Technical Service Administrator at ALS Environmental - UK & Ireland. Additionally, they taught English as a Conversation Assistant in Spain and worked as a Personal Tutor, facilitating learning for GCSE and A-level students.
Jane also has experience in business development, having worked as an intern at Cudoni, where they acquired customers and implemented a marketing strategy. Jane has also contributed to research projects as a Research Assistant at the Natural History Museum and Imperial College London, focusing on topics such as riverine food webs and the effects of climate change on bird populations. Jane Courtnell attended Oldham Sixth Form College from 2010 to 2012, where they achieved biology (A*), chemistry (A), mathematics (A), AS psychology (A), and an A* grade in their extended project. Following their time at the college, they went on to Imperial College London, where they studied biology with a Year in Management from 2012 to 2016. Jane graduated with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) degree in Biology.
