Bec Wilder (Chapin)

Bec Wilder (Chapin) has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. They started their career as a Design Intern at Campaigne Kestner Architects in 2010. From there, they worked as a Senior Project Manager and Sustainability Coordinator at Method Homes LLC, specializing in sustainable prefab homes, from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, they joined Pinchot as a Social Entrepreneurship TA and Green Canopy Homes as a VP of Construction Operations and Director of Custom. Additionally, they founded Engage Possibility, LLC in 2016. In 2018, they participated in Techstars as part of the Sustainability Cohort, and in 2019, they were a Founder S19 at Y Combinator. They co-founded NODE in 2017, where they held various roles such as Co-founder and CEO, Director and Secretary of the Board of Directors, and Co-founder and COO. Currently, they are the Co-CEO and Director on the Board of Directors at Green Canopy NODE. Throughout their career, Bec Wilder (Chapin) has demonstrated a strong passion for sustainability and social entrepreneurship.

Bec Wilder (Chapin) has a diverse education history, with a focus on entrepreneurship and sustainable systems. In 2003, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Mount Holyoke College.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Bec pursued further education in sustainable systems, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Pinchot University in 2014. Bec also obtained a certification as a Certified Sustainable Building Advisor from the Sustainable Building Advisor Institute in 2011.

Bec has actively pursued various entrepreneurship opportunities, participating in multiple accelerator programs. In 2018, they were involved as a portfolio company in the Techstars Sustainability Accelerator. The following year, in 2019, they participated in the Y Combinator program, listed as S19. Additionally, in 2020, Bec was a portfolio company in the Emerge Accelerator powered by Softbank, focusing on entrepreneurship.

In terms of additional certifications, Bec obtained the Rescue Diver certification from PADI in August 2008. Bec also holds a certification as a Certified Sustainable Building Advisor, obtained from the Sustainable Building Advisor Institute, although the specific dates are not provided.
