Monika Morawa

Monika Morawa, CPA, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Monika began their career as a Sales Associate at Nordstrom from 2011 to 2012. Monika then worked as a Mortgage Production Intern at PNC in 2014 before joining EY as an FSO Assurance Intern in 2015.

At EY, Monika progressed to become an Assurance Staff from 2016 to 2018. In this role, they performed and documented interim and year-end substantive procedures on financial statement accounts for various clients. Monika also played a key role in audit planning, scoping, and execution, while identifying opportunities for process improvement. Additionally, Monika served as a Senior Consultant in the Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) group from 2018 to 2019. Monika assisted clients on a range of projects, including risk management, operational enhancement, and strategy. Prior to their professional career, Monika gained valuable experience as an Economics Research Assistant at the University of Dayton from 2015 to 2016. Monika worked in the department of Finance and Economics, supporting economist John Ruggiero, Ph.D. Monika also served as the School of Business Administration Dean's Assistant from 2013 to 2016.

Monika Morawa, CPA, obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting and International Business from the University of Dayton, where they attended from 2012 to 2016. In 2014, they also briefly attended EDHEC Business School and studied Business Administration and Management. Monika Morawa further enhanced their qualifications by becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in both the State of Illinois and the State of New York. Monika received their CPA certification from the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) in June 2018 for Illinois and in February 2018 for New York.
