Virgil P. (He/Him)

Virgil P. has over 25 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Virgil currently works as the Regional Director of Operations at Green Thumb Industries (GTI) since May 2023. Prior to this, he served as the General Manager of Florida at GTI from April 2022 to April 2023. From November 2021 to April 2022, Virgil worked as the Startup & Operations Support Manager (Travel) at GTI. He worked as the General Manager in Miami from February 2019 to November 2021.

In 2017, Virgil held the role of Plant Manager at Alessi Bakery from August 2017 to February 2019. Prior to this, they worked as the Senior Resource Ops at PepsiCo from August 2015 to August 2016. Virgil also gained experience as the Operations Manager at Ken's Foods from September 2014 to August 2015.

From October 2012 to September 2014, Virgil served as the Operations Manager at TreeHouse Foods. Virgil started their career in the manufacturing industry as the TPM/Operations Leader at Unilever from April 2011 to October 2012.

In the early years of their career, Virgil worked at The Coca-Cola Company as the Business Unit Manager from April 2006 to May 2011. Prior to that, they held the role of Production Shift Manager at Pepperidge Farm from April 2004 to April 2006.

Virgil also has a background in military service, having worked as an Operations Manager in the United States Air Force from December 1994 to January 2004.

Virgil P. holds a Master of Science degree in MBA, HRM from The Sorrell College of Business at Troy University. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Saint Leo University. Virgil also has a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Tougaloo College and an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the Community College of the Air Force. In addition to their educational qualifications, Virgil has obtained several certifications throughout their career. These certifications include "Gemba Kaizen: A Commonsense Approach to Continuous Improvement" from LinkedIn, "Florida Food Protection Manager" from Safe Food Systems Inc, "TPM" from Unilever, "Six Sigma/Lean" from Nestlé Waters, and "Preventative Controls Qualified Individuals" from the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA).
