Matthew Yates has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Their most recent position was as the Head of Marketing - Hotels at Greene King, where they were responsible for defining and developing the company's branded hotel proposition. Prior to that, they worked at IHG Hotels & Resorts in various roles such as Loyalty & Partnerships EMEAA, Brand Consultant Hotel Indigo Europe, Commercial Marketing Director, Innovation Manager, Strategic Projects Manager, Development Marketing Manager, and Brand Management - Project Manager. Before joining IHG, Matthew worked at W3C as the Deputy Office Manager, UK and Ireland, and at Nominet UK as the Product Marketing Manager and Campaign Manager. Matthew also held positions at Best Western Hotels GB as a Marketing Services Manager, United Cinemas International as a Production Manager, and Lloyd's of London Press (LLP) as a Graduate trainee.
Matthew Yates attended Sheffield Hallam University from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a BSc in Business and Technology. Prior to this, they briefly attended The University of Sheffield in 1990. Matthew completed their secondary education at The Blue Coat School Liverpool from 1982 to 1989 and their primary education at Childwall C of E from 1977 to 1982.
