Xiangyang Teng has extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Xiangyang began their career as an IC design engineer at The Chinese Academy of Science, where they learned the basics of IC design and gained experience in logic simulation and IC layout. After that, they worked as an ASIC Design Engineer at Aztech Systems Inc, where they were responsible for the design, RTL coding, synthesis, FPGA prototyping, and tapeout of a PCI-based audio chipset ASIC.
Xiangyang then joined HAL Computer Systems, Inc. as a Design Engineer, where they provided CAD tools support and automated EDA tools using Perl/Skill script. Additionally, they worked on Synopsis synthesis script and timing closure for multi-million chip projects.
Next, Teng worked at Silicon Storage Technology (SST) as a Senior Design Engineer. Xiangyang was responsible for PATA NAND flash controller design, including NAND flash control logic RTL coding, chip synthesis, and design verification. Later, they became a Section Design Manager at SST and established the company's design center in Beijing. In this role, they designed the first remote controller using embedded NOR FLASH. Xiangyang handled tasks such as design specification, RTL coding, synthesis, FPGA prototyping, and tapeout.
Teng continued their journey at SST as a Design Manager, where they oversaw the design of one memory product. Xiangyang was in charge of the IC, Firmware, and System teams, ensuring successful product delivery.
After their tenure at SST, Teng joined SST as a Senior Design Manager, leading a team of around 50 members. Their team designed a successful new generation PATA NAND flash controller, contributing significantly to the company's revenue.
Currently, Teng serves as the Senior Director of Engineering at Greenliant Systems. As a key member, they helped build the team in Beijing for this startup company. Their project management skills were crucial in the success of the eMMC product, which saw worldwide design and shipment.
Xiangyang Teng attended Tsinghua University from 1986 to 1991, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microelectronics and Electrical Engineering.
