Ron Flannagan

Ron Flannagan has extensive work experience in the agricultural industry. Ron began their career at Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc as a Post-Doctoral Fellow before moving up to the role of Senior Research Associate and eventually becoming a Research Scientist. Ron then joined Monsanto Company, where they held various positions, including Coleopteran Trait Lead, Insect Control Platform Lead, Global Corn Insect Platform Lead, and Research Fellow. At Bayer Crop Science, Ron served as the Regional Agronomy Lead for Iowa. Currently, they are working at GreenLight Biosciences, Inc. as the Vice President of Research, Plant Health.

Ron Flannagan received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biotechnology from the University of Northern Iowa from 1987 to 1991. Ron then pursued their Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at The Ohio State University from 1991 to 1997.
