Mathematical Optimization Expert at Greenplan

Hanjo Thiele is a Mathematical Optimization Expert at Greenplan GmbH since October 2021, following a role as Junior Mathematical Optimization Expert. Prior experience includes serving as a Software Developer at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn from April 2020 to August 2021, focusing on software development for the BonnTools project related to chip design in collaboration with IBM. Responsibilities involved developing tools for VLSI design rule checks using mixed integer programs implemented in C++ with CPLEX. Hanjo also contributed to bioinformatics research at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology, where strategies for estimating historical population sizes were developed, and has served as a tutor for various mathematics courses at the University of Bonn. Hanjo holds a Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Bonn and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the same institution.
