Laura McHale Holland

Laura McHale Holland has a diverse work experience that includes roles as an author, editor, and freelance writer. In 1990, they started working at the Noe Valley Voice as a regular contributor and eventually became the Associate Editor. Laura also served as the Editor in Chief at The Green Sheet in 2006. In 2005, they worked as an Associate Editor at North Bay Biz. Laura is the author of the memoir "Reversible Skirt," which won a silver medal in the 2011 Readers Favorite Book Awards. Laura McHale also founded their own indie publishing company, Wordforest, and has another collection of flash fiction titled "The Ice Cream Vendor's Song" in production.

Laura McHale Holland attended San Francisco State University from 1981 to 1983. Laura McHale pursued an Interdisciplinary Creative Arts degree and focused on Creative Writing and Performance Art during their time at the university.
