Tracy Garcia is an associate in the Litigation practice group at Greenspoon Marder LLP., handling complex commercial litigation disputes in state and federal courts. Ms. Garcia was previously a summer associate and subsequently a law clerk, researching legal issues and drafting memoranda for professional negligence and malpractice matters, partnership and shareholder disputes and formation requirements, breach of fiduciary duties, choice of law and usury restrictions (50 state survey), researching and analogizing pertinent precedent and applicable standards of review for appeals, and probate and real estate matters.
Ms. Garcia graduated Summa Cum Laude from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law. During law school, Ms. Garcia served as the Editor-In-Chief of the Nova Law Review and Senior Competitions Coordinator for the NSU Trial Association. Ms. Garcia also served as a teaching and research assistant for a variety of classes including Criminal Procedure, Torts, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, and Human Rights Law. As a result of her efforts, Ms. Garcia won and was nominated for several awards: CALI for Future Excellence Award in Legal Research in Writing, Nova Law Review Red Pen Awards, NSU STUEY Student of the Year 2021 nomination, NSU STUEY Student of the Year 2022, SBA Student Mentor of the Year, Larry Kalevitch Service Award, SBA Academic Excellence, Stephanie Aleong Award 2021, and Stephanie Aleong Award 2022.
Ms. Garcia also had the honor of interning for the Honorable Judge Mariya Weekes in the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Court, where she assisted in Criminal Division and Family Division matters.
