Heather Kennedy

Heather Kennedy is the current Chief Operating Officer at Gregory & Appel Insurance. Heather has also served as the Chief Legal Counsel and Deputy Commissioner for the Indiana Department of Transportation from May 2011 to April 2022, and as the Deputy Attorney General for the Office of the Indiana Attorney General from July 2007 to May 2011. In their role as Deputy Attorney General, Heather investigated complaints against mortgage fraud, foreclosure consultants, real estate brokers and real estate appraisers. Heather also drafted and filed civil complaints against violators of the Home Loan Practices Act, the Mortgage Rescue Protection Fraud Act, and the Credit Services Organization Act. In addition, Heather provided recommendations to State Licensing Boards regarding possible violations of the Indiana statutes and rules governing licensed professionals, and they litigated administrative complaints before various State Licensing Boards.

Heather Kennedy received their JD from Indiana University Maurer School of Law and their BA from the University of Indianapolis in Heather'story, Business Administration and Political Science.
