Gerard de Vries

Gerard de Vries has extensive work experience in the coatings industry. Gerard is currently the Managing Director for Northwest Europe at Greif, Inc., where they are responsible for overseeing all commercial and operational activities in the region. Prior to that, they held managerial positions at AkzoNobel and PPG Industries, where they managed various regions and teams and was in charge of P&L responsibilities. Earlier in their career, Gerard worked at Sigma Coatings Nederland and Ge Plastics, gaining experience in marketing, lab work, and new technologies.

Gerard de Vries completed their Bachelor of Science in Polymer Chemistry at Fontys University of Applied Sciences from 1988 to 1992. Gerard then pursued a Master of Science in Polymer Chemistry at the University of Groningen from 1992 to 1994. Later, from 1998 to 1999, they studied PTN Coating Technology at Eindhoven University of Technology. In 2000, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Groningen. Gerard also attended Cranfield School of Management in 2010 for an Advanced Development Program, but no specific degree was mentioned.
