Serhii Parakhin

Serhii Parakhin's work experience begins in 2013 at GlobalLogic, where they worked as a Software Engineer. During this time, they played a role in building a cloud-based solution for device and instrument management.

In 2014, Parakhin joined Grid Dynamics as a Senior Software Engineer and Development Manager. Serhii was responsible for building an eCommerce platform and leading teams. Serhii also participated in Java development and mentored and reviewed the performance of team members.

Moving up in the company, Parakhin became a Lead Data Scientist in 2017. In this role, they led various projects and R&D activities in the areas of search, computer vision, NLP, and conversational AI. Serhii specifically worked on visual similarity search and recommendation solutions for tier-1 US retailers.

In 2021, Parakhin transitioned to the role of an AI/ML Solutions Architect in the CTO Office at Grid Dynamics. During this time, they worked on R&D and innovations in computer vision, NLP, and recommendation systems. Serhii also led pre-sales efforts as a solution architect and managed AI/ML projects, including a product discovery modernization project for a leading on-demand digital printing marketplace.

Finally, in 2023, Parakhin became a Senior AI/ML Solutions Architect and Practice Lead at Grid Dynamics. In this role, they collaborated with the leadership team to define the AI/ML strategy and shape the company's service offerings. Serhii also drove R&D in the areas of generative AI, conversational AI, computer vision, and recommendation systems. Additionally, Parakhin managed and consulted on AI/ML projects across the company, mentored technical leaders, and led pre-sales efforts. Serhii also contributed to building strategic partnerships with hyperscalers.

Serhii Parakhin obtained a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering and Computer Science from Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics, where they attended from 2010 to 2016.
