Sean Tippett

Sean Tippett has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. In 1999, they began their career at Extreme Networks as a Product Manager and SE Manager. In 2004, they moved to Peribit as a Product Manager and Technical Marketing. In 2005, they joined Juniper Networks as a Product Manager for Web Optimization and WAN Acceleration. In 2008, they were a Product Manager at IronPort Systems. In 2009, they joined Silver Spring Networks as a Subject Matter Expert (WAN). In 2012, they were promoted to Director of Business Development for Smart Cities/IoT and Director of Strategic Relations at Silver Spring Networks. In 2019, they worked as a Smart Lighting/City/Grid Consultant. Currently, they are a West Coast Sales at GridUnity.

Sean Tippett has a diverse educational background. Sean obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Montana State University-Bozeman between 1987 and 1992. Sean also earned a BS in Physics from the same university between 1987 and 1991. In 1991, they obtained an MS in EE - Communication Theory from the University of Maryland.
