Wim Ballaux has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the food industry. Wim began their career as a Food Technologist at Dera Food Technology in 2000, where they gained technical expertise and supported the growth of the company. Wim later became a Field Support Manager, responsible for Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, and Croatia, before transitioning into the role of Business Development Manager for the Balkan and Middle East markets. At Kerry Ingredients, they served as a Business Development Manager for the Middle East and later became the Sales Director for Africa and EUM Meat. In 2013, Wim joined Lantmännen as the Commercial Manager Belux, where they led and directed the sales of frozen bakery products and managed a sales team. Currently, they are working as the Area Sales Director at Griffith Foods, where they oversee sales operations.
Wim Ballaux attended Rijksuniversiteit Gent from 1994 to 1999, where they obtained a degree in Bio-ingenieur with a specialization in Chemistry. Wim also briefly studied at L'Institut Agro Montpellier in 1998. Prior to higher education, Wim attended Sint-michielscollege, but no specific degree or field of study has been provided for this period.
