Ryan Coquilla has a diverse work experience in the field of design and marketing. Ryan started their career at TeleNav in 2006, where they worked as a Marketing Graphic Designer for over five years. During their time at TeleNav, Ryan was responsible for visually communicating the company's marketing messaging through various forms of media.
In 2013, Ryan volunteered as an English teacher for underprivileged children in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, through the Our Home Vulnerable Children Project. Ryan utilized visual arts and active games to help the children understand basic English vocabulary while also being involved in fundraising efforts for the organization.
From 2015 to 2017, Ryan worked as a Graphic Designer at Ten 90 Studios. In this role, they designed conceptual product demos for trade shows, events, and business meetings. Additionally, Ryan designed UI and graphic elements for mobile and web-based applications. Ryan also played a role in conceptualizing and designing a mobile trivia game called Geek Factor.
In 2017, Ryan joined Beyond as a Visual Designer. Ryan helped develop a new creative design layout for a client's online store experience and designed a holiday campaign to boost customer awareness and engagement. Ryan continued to work at Beyond as a Senior Visual Designer from 2018 to 2022. In this role, they were involved in brainstorming creative concepts, developing original design concepts, and executing designs based on established style guides. Ryan also led visual design presentations to clients.
Most recently, Ryan joined Grio in 2022 as a Senior Visual Designer.
Ryan Coquilla completed a degree in Design and Visual Communications, General from American Intercontinental University. Additionally, they obtained a certification in UX Design: From Concept to Wireframe from the University of Michigan in July 2017.
