Jake

Jake is the Director of Technology at Gro, a real-time data processing company. Jake has over ten years of experience in software engineering, primarily developing embedded and desktop software applications. Jake also has experience setting up and conducting test plans, creating testing automation frameworks, and writing scripts to automate testing of embedded software.

Jake began their career as a Senior Software Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories, where they developed embedded and desktop software for sensor products. Jake also created testing automation frameworks and wrote scripts to automate testing of embedded software. In 2012, Jake left Sandia National Laboratories to work as a tutor at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Jake tutored students in computer science and programming courses.

In 2011, Jake joined Gro as the Director of Technology. In their current role, Jake works on real-time data processing applications. Some of their recent projects include porting a large-scale application to a cloud-based environment, optimizing an image-processing and simulation framework to run faster and scale larger, expanding testing frameworks to include new product types, and developing data aggregation and dissemination nodes in data processing pipelines.

Jake earned their Master of Science in Computer Science from Missouri University of Science and Technology. Jake also holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the same school.
