Cesar Perez-Bolivar began their career at Bowling Green State University, where they held various roles including Graduate/Research Assistant, Postdoctoral Fellow, and Assistant Research Professor from 2004 to 2012. Following this, they joined Grote Industries in 2012, starting as a Materials Research Engineer and later transitioning to roles such as R&D Lab Manager, Director of Engineering, and finally Director of Engineering and Operations. Throughout their time at Grote Industries, Cesar focused on developing new processes, products, and materials, specializing in LED lighting. Cesar also worked closely with quality and purchasing teams to improve lumen outputs and reliability.

Cesar Perez-Bolivar pursued their education in a chronological manner, beginning with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Universidad Simon Bolivar. Cesar completed this program in 2004. Following this, they enrolled at Bowling Green State University where they pursued a Ph.D. in Photochemical Sciences. Cesar Perez-Bolivar obtained their Ph.D. degree in 2010, thus completing their formal education.
