Maria Galanaki

Maria Galanaki has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Maria most recently worked at Ground Truth Intelligence as the Head of Client Experience starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Control Risks as a Senior Intelligence Analyst - Intelligence Manager from 2022 to 2023, a Threat Intelligence Analyst from 2021 to 2022, a Threat Intelligence Associate Analyst from 2019 to 2020, and a Researcher- Cyber Threat Intelligence from 2018 to 2019. Maria also worked at The Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime as a Research Assistant from 2018, specializing in organ trafficking, cocaine trafficking, and illicit trade of elephant ivory and rhino horn. Prior to that, they worked at EMG Strategic Consulting Ltd. as a Political Communication Specialist from 2017 to 2018, and at KEDISA - Center for International Strategic Analyses as a Security Analyst from 2017 to 2018. Maria began their career as an Intern-Associate Project Manager at the Institute of Research & Training on European Affairs (IRTEA), where they were a member of the organizing committee for various simulations of the European Institutions and the Military Academy in Athens. Overall, Maria Galanaki has demonstrated expertise in client experience, intelligence analysis, threat intelligence, and research related to transnational organized crime.

Maria Galanaki earned a Bachelor of Applied Science - BASc in International and European Affairs from the University of Piraeus, where they studied from 2011 to 2016. Maria then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Terrorism, International Crime and Global Security from Coventry University from 2016 to 2017. In addition to their degrees, Maria obtained two certifications: the CMI Level 7 Certificate in Professional Consulting from the Chartered Management Institute in February 2017, and the CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership, also from the Chartered Management Institute, in February 2017.
