Mike Irby is the current President & COO at GroundWorks. Prior to this, they were with Sears Home Services from October 2014 to December 2017, where they held the position of Senior Vice President / General Manager of the West Division. In this role, they managed an annual revenue of $430M with a team of 2500 associates/managers (14 districts, 18 states). Mike was responsible for directing P/L, budgeting/forecasting, new business development, customer service, human resources and safety. Mike was recruited to lead turnaround efforts and position the business for strategic sale or partnership of industry leader in appliance repair.

During their time at Sears Home Services, they defined operational strategy and framework, eliminated cultural silos, identified new growth opportunities, expanded 1099 provider network, developed sales culture, and delivered bottom-line growth. Mike also aligned core leadership team on key strategic and operational initiatives, improving Revenue per call 6%, EBITDA per call 11%, and Customer Satisfaction Scores (NPS) 13%.

Mike designed a recruiting strategy targeting associate and management staffing needs, which increased associate staffing 40%, and filling 6 key leadership roles in 7 months. Mike also developed a contractor network which improved service response time and service delivery, increased call completion 5%, and improved Net Promoter Score 5.5%.

Mike developed and launched a new service offering which boosted Service Technician participation 29% (62% to 80%), and sales 37% in 6 months, generating additional $4M revenue.

Mike led the division through multiple organizational restructures without sacrificing service levels, associate morale, or operational performance, resulting in reduction or reallocation of resources saving $1.5M in 18 months.

Irby received their MBA from the University of Arizona and their BA in marketing from The University of Memphis.
