Jacob "Gus" Crothers has extensive experience in the medical field, with a focus on addiction medicine. Jacob "Gus" most recently served as the Chief Outcomes and Medical Officer at Groups Recover Together, starting in August 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of National Medical Director at the same company from August 2019 to July 2021. In 2019, they also briefly served as the Medical Director, Northeast. Before joining Groups Recover Together, Crothers worked at Grand Rounds, Inc. as the Medical Director - Clinical Strategy from June 2018 to March 2019 and as the Medical Director - Clinical Personnel from March 2014 to June 2018. Jacob "Gus" also served as the Associate Medical Director from July 2014 to March 2015. Crothers began their career at APT Foundation as a part-time Physician providing addiction medicine and primary care services from 2014 to 2016. Jacob "Gus" completed their Family Medicine Residency at Tufts University Family Medicine Residency at Cambridge Health Alliance. During their time there, they served as the Chief Resident from July 2013 to July 2014 and as a Family Medicine Resident from July 2011 to July 2014.
Jacob "Gus" Crothers earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Neuroscience from Brown University in 2007. Jacob "Gus" then attended Tufts University School of Medicine from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Waynflete School from 1999 to 2003.
