Danny Lai has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Danny began their career as a Marketing Intern at Colgate Palmolive in 2013. Danny then moved on to work as a Marketing Intern at McDonald's Corporation, where they played a key role in digital advertising creation and media purchase. In 2015, Danny worked as a Multi-Channel Marketing Intern at Merck. Following this, they served as a Digital Marketing Coordinator at No More Practice Education from 2016 to 2017. Danny then joined Colliers International Australia as a Marketing and Communications Executive from 2017 to 2018. In 2019, Danny worked at GROW as a Marketing Coordinator and later as a Marketing Manager. Danny also worked as a Project Coordinator at GROW from 2019 to 2020. Danny's journey then led him to General Assembly Sydney, where they became a Software Engineering Immersive Student in 2020. In 2021, they started their role as a Graduate Software Engineer at Publicis Sapient and then transitioned to the same role at GROW Inc.

From 1999 to 2011, they attended Trinity Grammar School, where they obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma.
In 2012, they enrolled at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), majoring in Marketing and Management. Danny completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree with a double major in Marketing and Management in 2016.
In 2015, as part of an exchange program, Danny studied at Michigan State University.
In 2020, they attended General Assembly Australia, where they completed a Software Engineering Immersive program.
Danny has also obtained additional certifications. In 2015, they obtained the Medicine's Australia Code of Conduct certification from Medicines Australia. In 2021, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft.
