Gerry McCarthy

Gerry McCarthy is a Senior Advisor, Healthcare of GrowthCurve Capital. Gerry is a proven Executive/Operator spending his entire 30-year career in healthcare information technology.

Gerry was most recently the CEO of eSolutions, which sold to Waystar for $1.35B in 2020. The growth and subsequent valuation were driven through a highly differentiated platform and GTM strategy, coupled with four strategic acquisitions that delivered intellectual property, market share, and diversification to the platform.

Prior to eSolutions, Gerry was the President of TransUnion Healthcare. As an Officer of TransUnion, he was a member of the Executive Leadership Team that delivered one of the most successful IPOs of 2015.

Gerry was also the Chief Strategy Officer of HealthMEDX which successfully exited to NetSmart, VP of Sales for Abaton.com, and a Client Executive with Automated Healthcare. Both Abaton.com and Automated Healthcare were acquired by McKesson, bringing him back to where his career began.

The formative part of Gerry’s career was spent with McKesson Provider Technologies. Starting in Implementation Services, he progressed through various sales, marketing, and product leadership roles culminating in his role as SVP of Product Management and Marketing.

Gerry earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University’s Diederich College of Communications. Since 2015, he has been a Guest Lecturer at the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business.
