Daphne Strassmann

Daphne Strassmann is an accomplished educator and writer with extensive experience in higher education and community engagement. Currently, Strassmann serves as a Visiting Lecturer in the Liberal Arts Department at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and holds the position of Interim Chair for the First Year Writing Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Additionally, Strassmann is actively involved as a Writing Instructor at GrubStreet and has held senior roles at Lesley University, including Senior Lecturer and co-Director of the Women's Center. Strassmann's writing expertise extends to memoir and personal narrative, demonstrated through the development of courses and workshops. As a blogger for textmex and a member of the Macondo Writers Workshop, Strassmann contributes to the literary community while having previously owned a beloved toy store in the Boston area. Strassmann holds both a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Lesley University.
