Tomas Diaz has extensive experience in the field of Human Resources, specializing in hotel and hospitality management. Tomas began their career in 1993 with NH hoteles, where they held the position of Human Resources Director LAS AMERICAS for 23 years. In this role, they were responsible for implementing and designing core HR processes across 14 countries, with a focus on Mexico and the Caribbean. Tomas excelled in talent acquisition, talent management, performance evaluation, compensation and benefits, employee satisfaction, internal communication, training and development, corporate social responsibility, and brand engagement. Tomas also played a key role in developing leaders, promoting mobility, and facilitating career plans. In 2016, Tomas joined Best Day Travel Group as their Human Resources Corporate Director for a year. Tomas then moved on to Sandos Hotels & Resorts, where they served as the Human Resources Corporate Director for a year. After that, they joined Arriva Hospitality Group in 2018, holding the same position until 2020. From 2020 to 2022, Tomas worked as the Human Resources Corporate Director at Grupo Lomas. Currently, they are employed at Grupo Hotelero Santa Fe S. A. B. de C.V as their Human Resources Corporate Director.
Tomas Diaz has a diverse education history. Tomas started their academic journey in 1982 at the Instituto Juan Ponce de León, where they pursued a degree in Pedagogía. From 1982 to 1986, they studied and obtained a degree as a Profesor de Educación Primaria. After this, they attended the Universidad del Valle de Atemajac, from 1988 to 1993, where they pursued a Licenciatura in Filosofía. During the same period, from 1987 to 1993, Tomas also studied at the Escuela Normal Superior, where they pursued another Licenciatura, this time in Pedagogía. In 1993, they briefly studied at the WSU Carson College of Business, specializing in Hotels & Restaurants Administration.
