Joseph Fernando

Joseph Fernando serves as the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of R&D/Innovation at Grupo Nutec since March 2020. With extensive experience in technology commercialization and innovation, Joseph held multiple global director roles at Unifrax I LLC from October 2008 to February 2020, focusing on environmental materials and business development. Previous positions include adjunct professor at Niagara University and various engineering and management roles at organizations such as Unifrax Corporation and Washington Mills Electro Minerals Limited. Joseph holds a PhD in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from the University at Buffalo and has pursued executive education at Harvard Business School and Penn State University, complementing a strong educational foundation in materials science and business administration.
