Wilmar Sepulveda Herrera

Wilmar Sepulveda Herrera has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and analytics. Wilmar started their career as a Data Analyst at Universidad del Valle in 2019, where they gained valuable experience in analyzing data. Wilmar later transitioned to the role of Data Scientist at Banco de Occidente in 2020, where they focused on building machine learning models to optimize processes and generate value for the organization. At ExcelCredit in 2021, Wilmar worked as a Senior Data Scientist, solving business problems through advanced analytics techniques. Wilmar joined Universidad del Valle again in 2021 as a Teaching Assistant Professor. In their most recent role as a MID Data Scientist at R5, starting in 2022, Wilmar is responsible for creating business intelligence dashboards, conducting A/B testing experiments for marketing campaigns, and extracting insights from the SOAT sector.

Wilmar Sepulveda Herrera completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Statistics at Universidad del Valle (CO) from 2011 to 2017. Wilmar then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree, also in Statistics, at the same university from 2020 to 2023. In 2020, they also participated in a program called "Data Science for All" by Correlation One, where they received a certification in "Ciencia de datos" (Data Science).

In terms of additional certifications, Wilmar obtained a certification in "Deployment of Machine Learning Models" from Udemy in January 2022. Wilmar also completed the "Deep Learning Especialization" course through Coursera in January 2021. In August 2020, they graduated with honors and successfully completed an AI final project for image classification as part of the "Data Science For All" program by Correlation One. Furthermore, they obtained a certification in "IA para todos" (AI for Everyone) from Coursera in August 2020.
