Hugo Velázquez has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and positions. Hugo started their career at PwC as an intern, where they assisted with accounting services and audit work-paper generation. Hugo then joined EY as a Senior Manager in External Audit, gaining extensive knowledge in audits and accounting issues under various global accounting standards. Following their time at EY, Velázquez worked at Land Securities as a Senior Finance Manager, reviewing statutory accounts and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Hugo also served as a University Professor at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos before joining GSA - Global Student Accommodation. In their role at GSA, they held various positions, including Portfolio Management & Group Financial Controller, and Global Head of Finance & CEO GSA Spain, overseeing student accommodation assets across the globe.
