Doriana Gjuta-Mataj's work experience includes the following roles:

- Various roles at the Center for Youth Progress (ex Youth in Free Initiative Association) including Project Assistant from June 2012 to September 2016, Project Coordinator from September 2010 to June 2012, and Volunteer from May 2009 to September 2010

Doriana Gjuta-Mataj pursued their higher education at the Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana. Doriana earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Finance-Accounting from 2006 to 2010. Later, they enrolled in the same institution's Faculty of Economics and obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a specialization in Public Administration, completing their studies between 2011 and 2013. In addition to their academic achievements, Doriana Gjuta-Mataj obtained a certification as a Chartered Accountant in Albania from The Institute of Authorized Chartered Auditors of Albania (IEKA) in May 2015.
