Neil Pailing

Neil Pailing has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Neil started their career at the University of Warwick, where they conducted research on Fluid Dynamics. In 2001, they joined Cosmic Solutions as a System Development Manager and Application Consultant, working with multinational consumer goods companies to develop and customize analytical applications and business intelligence solutions. In 2007, they joined the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC), first as a Business Analyst and later as a Programme Manager responsible for the implementation of the PRISM risk-based supervision system. Neil also served as the Acting Chief Risk Officer from March to June 2016, overseeing the Commission's risk function and team. Since 2017, Neil has been working at Guernsey Post as the Head of IT and Digital Change, and previously as the Head of Digital Technology.

Neil Pailing's education history begins in 1997 when they attended the University of Warwick. Neil pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering and successfully completed their studies in 2001, obtaining an MEng degree.

In addition to their formal education, Neil has also obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2010, they received the PRINCE2® Practitioner certification from APMG-International.

Four years later, in 2014, Neil obtained the APMP certification from the Association for Project Management. Neil further expanded their skills in leadership and management by achieving the L5 Award in Leadership and Management from ILM in 2017.

In 2016, Neil obtained the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) from CFA UK. Continuing their pursuit of professional development, they successfully earned the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in 2019.

Recently, in 2020, Neil obtained two certifications from The Institute of Directors, namely the IoD Certificate in Company Direction in February and the IoD Diploma in Company Direction in December.
