Maria Valero

Maria Valero has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Maria most recently worked as the Global Head of People and Culture at GuestReady Group from January 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Managing Director at DP JAMES LONDON from September 2018. In 2016, Maria joined Stuart as the Global Head of Culture and Social Impact, where they were responsible for designing and driving the company's culture strategy, managing a team, and partnering with various stakeholders. Maria also took on the role of Interim VP of People at Stuart from January 2022 to July 2022. Maria's earlier work experience includes positions such as Senior Global HR Business Partner at Stuart and UK Human Resources Generalist & Office Manager at Stuart. Before entering the corporate world, Maria worked as a Head of HR, Administration, and Marketing at Babbo Group and an Office Administrator and Human Resources Generalist at Babbo Group. Maria began their career as a Social Worker at ACOGEM and Save the Children, and later worked as a Social Worker at Trama.

Maria Valero earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, from 2003 to 2007. In 2013, they obtained an Associate's Degree in Major events management from City, University of London. In 2014, Maria completed a Marketing Advance course at City, University of London. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Peakon Certified Administrator from Peakon in July 2020, Employment Law from CIPD in November 2019, and Mental Health First Aider from Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England in July 2019.
