Arti is a former assistant headteacher and Primary maths mastery specialist. She has worked across all-year groups of the Primary sector, stepped into many leadership roles and worked with schools and educators from across the UK.
Arti is passionate about democratizing education, breaking glass ceilings and working to ensure that teaching is of the high quality that all children deserve it to be.
Throughout her time in education, Arti has succeeded in roles that have challenged her and pushed her out of her comfort zone. These roles have allowed her to grow in experience and learn where the most difference can and should be made.
Arti has always been drawn to languages, is a bilingual speaker and holds a degree in English with creative writing.
Despite her passion for English, she took on the role of maths lead and trained as a maths mastery primary specialist after having suffered years of maths anxiety as a student. Arti’s experiences of this fuelled her to dedicate time to training and working with math leads, teaching staff and parents from across England to remove maths anxiety within schools. As a specialist, she saw how access to high-quality training could lead to classrooms of social justice, where all children felt they were capable and could achieve.
In addition to supporting Primary maths, Arti has spent time working with her local authority to coach, mentor and upskill newly qualified teachers in schools across the borough. More recently, she had taken on the challenge of the assistant head through a global pandemic. The sudden switch to online learning during this time taught her how technology could be best harnessed to reach and provide support to those who needed it the most. The insight into online teaching and seeing firsthand the significant impact it has had on families across the world has made Arti more dedicated than ever to now work towards making high-quality education and training available on a global scale.
