Kacye Vanderplas

Kacye Vanderplas has a diverse work experience in the education and senior living industries. Kacye is currently the Head of School at Guidepost Montessori since 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President of Operations at Sundance Memory Care Communities from 2018 to 2021 and as the Director of Education from 2015 to 2018. Kacye has also worked as a 4th-grade teacher at Yeshiva Torat Emet in 2018, Nichols Elementary from 2014 to 2015, and Eddins Elementary from 2008 to 2014.

Kacye Vanderplas completed their Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Kansas State University between 2003 and 2008. In 2016, they received a TESOL/TESL/TEFL Certificate from The Oxford Seminars, specializing in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL Language Instruction. Kacye also pursued an Elementary Education program at Hastings College from 2002 to 2003. Additionally, in December 2016, they obtained a certification as a Montessori Inspired Lifestyle Certified Trainer from the Center for Applied Research in Dementia.
