Robert Smith

Robert Smith is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in backend development and team leadership. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Guild Mortgage, Robert specializes in developing APIs for the mortgage origination process and is involved in migrating features to a new platform. Previous roles include Owner of StudioRMS, LLC; Lead Software Engineer at 5th Kind, Inc.; and Engineering Lead at Traject, where Robert managed agile teams and contributed to key product integrations. A solid foundation in full stack development stems from earlier positions at Cyfe and Razor Planet, alongside a strong analytical background from roles at the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems and the Washington Literacy Learning Center. Robert's technical skills were further honed during service as an Electronic Warfare Specialist in the United States Navy, complemented by a BA in Computer Science from Seattle Pacific University.
