Nikhil Nayak

Nikhil Nayak has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Nikhil is currently serving as the President and CEO of Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center since January 2024. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Business Officer at San Diego Blood Bank from April 2022 to December 2023.

Before their role at San Diego Blood Bank, Nikhil held multiple positions at Confirm Biosciences. Nikhil served as the Chief Operating Officer from August 2019 to November 2021, overseeing various departments and leading the company's strategic sales and retail consumer business units. Nikhil also played a key role in the successful sale of the company to Clinical Reference Laboratory. Prior to this, they were the Chief Commercial Officer at Confirm Biosciences from September 2018 to August 2019, where they led corporate strategy and commercialization activities.

In addition, Nikhil served as an Executive Consultant at Oxeia Biopharmaceuticals Inc from April 2018 to September 2018. Nikhil was the Chief Marketing Officer at Millennium Health from March 2014 to April 2018, where they led corporate strategy, product development, marketing, and communications functions.

Earlier in their career, Nikhil worked at Forest Laboratories (now AbbVie) for a significant period of time. Nikhil held the positions of Executive Director, Global & Early Commercialization from December 2011 to March 2014, and Executive Director, Marketing from March 2009 to December 2011. At Forest Laboratories, they were responsible for various marketing and commercialization activities, including overseeing product launches, managing performance, and leading global marketing operations.

Nikhil also had a long tenure at Forest Laboratories (now AbbVie) from 1997 to 2008, where they held various roles in sales, sales training, marketing, and business development. Nikhil notably led the successful launch of Bystolic, a beta blocker, and established a new department focused on early-stage compounds and licensing opportunities.

Nikhil Nayak earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis between 1992 and 1995. Nikhil later graduated from NYU Stern School of Business in 2004, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree specializing in Marketing, Finance, and International Business.
