David Bloomfield

David Bloomfield has extensive experience in engineering and facilities management spanning over three decades. Currently serving as Engineering Manager for Gulftainer in Iraq since December 2019, David oversees engineering operations and maintenance of terminal vehicles. From September 2017 to December 2019, David was Facilities Engineer at Smith & Nephew, focusing on maintenance and servicing of facility assets. Previous roles include Engineering Superintendent at Gulftainer and Category Supply Leader at Reckitt Benckiser, where David led manufacturing activities and operational projects. David began as an apprentice Plant Fitter at Komatsu UK and has held various technical positions, emphasizing maintenance and engineering across multiple sectors, supported by educational qualifications in Electrical and Mechanical disciplines from Gateshead Technical College.
