Vinaya Vasudevan

Vinaya Vasudevan started working in 2013 as an Admin Lead at Jayashree Chemicals, where they were responsible for handling the billing process, updating systems with anti-virus software, assessing the company's security posture, installing patches, testing software, and configuring Windows firewall ACL rules and permissions on files. In 2020, Vinaya joined WhiteHat Dynamic by Synopsys as an Application Security Specialist. Their roles included configuring a vulnerability scanner within the WhiteHat Sentinel platform to efficiently scan clients' web applications and resolving technical support cases successfully. Currently, Vinaya works as an Information Security Analyst at Gunnison Consulting Group, Inc., starting in 2023.

Vinaya Vasudevan completed a Master's degree in Cyber Security Operations and Leadership from the University of San Diego from 2020 to 2022. Prior to this, in 2019, they obtained a Cyber Security Professional Certificate from The University of Texas at Austin. In terms of undergraduate education, Vinaya Vasudevan earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University between 2009 and 2013.

In terms of high school education, Vinaya Vasudevan attended Jawahar Higher Secondary School from 2007 to 2009. Before that, they attended Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School from 2000 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Vinaya Vasudevan has obtained several certifications. They completed a course on "DevSecOps using GitHub Actions: Secure CICD with GitHub" at Udemy in February 2023. They also obtained the CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA in December 2022, the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from EC-Council in February 2022, and the Splunk Core Certified User certification from Splunk in November 2020.
