Dan then returned to Oakland University in 2004 and received a MA in Mathematics in 2005. In 2005, Dan Steffy began studying at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Algorithms, Combinatorics and Optimization in 2010.
