Tobias Achterberg

Tobias Achterberg currently serves as the Vice President of Research and Development at Gurobi Optimization, a position held since March 2014. Prior to this role, Tobias was a Senior Developer at IBM from January 2009 to February 2014, specializing in IBM ILOG CPLEX development, following a similar position at ILOG from October 2006 until its acquisition by IBM. Earlier experience includes a doctoral student and student worker role at the Zuse Institute Berlin from September 1997 to October 2006. Tobias Achterberg holds a Doctor's Degree in Mathematics, as well as Diplom degrees in Informatics and Mathematics, all obtained from Technische Universität Berlin between 1995 and 2007.
