James Garner

James Garner is a Senior Python Engineer at Guru Systems. Prior to joining Guru Systems, James served as a Senior Scrum Master at Wipro Digital from November 2020 to March 2021. Before that, they were a Scrum Master at Lloyds Banking Group from April 2016 to September 2020.

At Lloyds Banking Group, James was responsible for leading a cross-functional Scrum team and coordinating multiple initiatives across the bank. James facilitated various Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, sprint planning, user story workshops, and stakeholder gallery walks. James also worked with senior stakeholders to get buy-in for the new Agile ways of working and managed stakeholder expectations, risks, issues, and dependencies for the project.

James has extensive experience working with end users to achieve a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) release that meets their needs. James also has experience working with delivery teams to improve ways of working and engineering practices to support the Agile operating model. In their current role at Guru Systems, James is responsible for leading the development of the company's Python-based software products.

They work with Martin Murphy - Senior UX Designer, James Benson - Site Reliability Engineer, and Oliver Saunders - Senior Python Engineer. James Garner reports to Stephen Page, Chief Technical Officer.
