Marta Chaves

Marta Chaves is the Head of Sales at GuruHotel. Marta has over 9 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having worked in both hotel operations and sales.

Marta began their career as an Events Junior Captain at Kendall College, where they oversaw a team of 12 agents and was responsible for training, daily supervision, and operational implementation. After Kendall College, Marta worked as a Business Development Manager for OYO México, where they were responsible for market analysis, opening new hotels, and negotiating business proposals.

In their current role as Head of Sales at GuruHotel, Marta is responsible for leading the sales team and achieving quarterly sales targets. Marta is also responsible for developing new sales strategies, implementing new processes, and overseeing the performance of the sales team.

Marta Chaves has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Hospitality Management from Kendall College, an Associate of Business Administration in F&B Operations from Les Roches Crans-Montana Global Hospitality, a Swiss Hotel Association Hotel Management Diploma from Les Roches International School of Hotel Management Switzerland, and a Certification from Florida Atlantic University in Hospitality & Tourism Management. Marta also has a Certification from Glion Institute of Higher Education Switzerland in Glion Advanced Certificate in International Hospitality Management.

Their manager is Josue Gio, Co-Founder & CEO. Marta Chaves works with Stiven Martínez - Co-Founder & Head of Product, Jorge Acrisio - Head of Finance.
