David Marechal

David Marechal is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in catastrophe modeling and research. Currently serving as a Senior Cat Development Scientist at Guy Carpenter since January 2014, David previously held the position of Senior Cat Researcher at Allianz Reinsurance from February 2012 to December 2013 and worked at Guy Carpenter as a Natural Catastrophes Model Developer from October 2007 to February 2012. Earlier roles included Research Scientist at EQECAT and SINTEF, as well as a PhD student at MULINO. David completed a PhD in Water Resources at Cranfield University and holds an MSc in Hydraulics from Grenoble INP - UGA, along with a BSc in Applied Physics from Coventry University.
