Neil Mayer

Neil Mayer is the Chief Operating Officer for Guy Carpenter. In his role, he provides oversight of the central operations team, client support services, marketing & communications and data strategy teams and leads the firm’s Operating Committee. Neil is a member of the Guy Carpenter Executive Committee.

Previously, Neil held the position of Chief Operating Officer, North America, where he was responsible for all operations, strategy and broker support services relating to the US and Canada businesses. Neil also served as the global integration leader for Guy Carpenter's integration of JLT Re. Prior to the North American leadership role, he was the Global Head of Strategy & Transformation, where he worked closely with the Executive Committee to define and implement the strategic direction of the company. Previously Neil was a senior member of the Marsh & McLennan (MMC) M&A / Corporate Development team.

Before joining MMC in 2010, he was with the Transfer Pricing practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Neil holds a BS in Finance from the University of Maryland and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
