Jamie Schmidt

Jamie Schmidt has a diverse range of work experience in engineering roles. They began their career in 2015 at Emerson Commercial & Residential Solutions, where they worked as an Engineer II in Mechanical NPD, R&D for Greenlee Professional Tools. During this role, they were involved in various aspects of product development, from concept design to manufacturing and continuous improvement activities. They also worked as a Continuous Improvement Engineer, responsible for improving processes and managing change management processes.

In 2017, Jamie participated in the Greenlee Engineering Development Program, where they took on rotations in different areas. They first worked in New Product Development, focusing on R&D and new product development. Then they moved to the Value Added/Value Engineering role, where they identified cost-saving opportunities through product redesign and process improvements. Finally, in the Manufacturing Engineering role, they focused on creating and sustaining manufacturing processes for new and existing products.

In 2022, Jamie joined G&W Electric Co. as a Manufacturing Engineer. In this role, they have been involved in implementing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and increase productivity.
