Joe D'Souza P.eng.

Joe D'Souza P.Eng. has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Joe has worked as a LEAN Manufacturing Engineer-OPEX team at G&W Electric Co. since 2022. Prior to this, they were a Continuous Quality Improvement Specialist at Brenlo Custom Wood Mouldings & Doors from 2021 to 2022.

Joe also worked as a Startup Mentor/Advisor at Ryan Green International Inc. from 2019 to 2021, where they served as a business development promoter for a steel industry-specific Austrian metallurgy software start-up. Joe was responsible for optimizing OPEX and CAPEX for the company.

Before that, Joe worked as a CI & QA Manager at Romet Limited from 2019 to 2020 and as a Continuous Improvement Engineer at AmesburyTruth in 2019. At AmesburyTruth, their role involved implementing continuous improvement activities to reduce operating costs, improve production efficiency, and enhance product reliability.

From 2015 to 2018, Joe served as a Process Engineer - Continuous Improvement Leader at Lincoln Electric Canada, where they led the Continuous Improvement Program and facilitated ongoing process improvements through Six Sigma projects.

In 2014, Joe worked as an Industrial Engineer at DBG Canada Limited, where they provided strategic consulting on LEAN Six Sigma deployment and drove LEAN initiatives based on Toyota Production Systems principles.

In addition, Joe has experience in the renewable energy sector as a Promoter in 2013 and as a Plant Industrial Engineer at Dubai Aluminium (DUBAL) from 2008 to 2013. Joe also worked as a Senior Manager - Six Sigma at GSHL LIMITED from 2006 to 2008.

Joe D'Souza P.Eng. began their education in 1986 at the University of Mumbai (UoT-CESA 2009), where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Manufacturing Engineering. Joe completed this program in 1990. Four years later, from 1994 to 1998, they attended the same university to earn a Bachelor's degree in Financial Management.

In addition to their formal education, Joe D'Souza has obtained several certifications. In 2002, they became a Certified Lead Auditor in ISO9001:2000 from CMC (UK) LTD. The following year, in 2003, they achieved the Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) certification from BMGI. Continuing their professional development, in 2017, Joe obtained the Certified Lead Auditor- ISO50001:2011 accreditation from BSI. In 2018, they became a Certified Lean Yellow Belt through QCDMS Consultants. Additionally, in 2019, they achieved JHSC Member certification from the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development. Most recently, in 2020, Joe obtained the Understanding requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certification from Omnex Inc.
